A BIT ABOUT ARI PHILLIPS
Magician, Entertainer

Ari grew up in New Zealand in a magical family. His father was the President of IBM New Zealand Ring 160 for 12 years. He encouraged Ari with his magic passion from the age of 7 years old. At the age of 12 Ari performed his first professional children’s party and at 17 became president of the North Shore Magician’s Society. Ari has been a member of the Magic Circle for almost 20 years, is a member of Equity and a Member of AMI ‘Association de Magiciens Internationaux’.
During Lock down Ari set up The Magic Coach where he ran an online workshop and training course with over 200 videos for young magicians with his Ultimate Beginner’s course in magic! Ari is a professional magician performing Close Up magic for corporate clients, weddings, private parties and is also an excellent children’s entertainer too.
Ari founded GRUM Leather Craft in 2001 providing fine quality hand crafted leather products for magicians. Grum has since hit the magic world by storm appearing at leading magic conventions such as Blackpool magic convention, IBM The Session and The Magic Circle, Ari will be attending Magic Live 2024! He set up GRUM with one goal in mind: providing high-quality, luxury leather products. His passion for excellence has driven him from the beginning and continues to drive him into the future. He knows that every product counts, and that attention to the finer details is what makes the best quality products.
Ari now offers lectures and hands on workshops which have proven to be a real success for members of the Magic Circle, the South London Magic Society, West Sussex Magic Circle, the Magic Circle Young Magicians and now he plans to venture to the USA where many of his clients are!

He also breaks down many effects from his own professional repertoire where you can leave the lecture learning magic YOU CAN actually do right away rather than just being blown away by skill!
